WHAT TO THINK AND HOW TO THINK ABOUT OUR FUTURE
I would like to appreciate the govt of ap, in tackling
the corona issue, especially in the context of HOME QUARANTINE. one of our
FARMING field is closely linked ap TIDCO flats-G+3, so many migrant Labour's
came from different states they have quarantined with the help of gram and ward
secretariat with volunteer system. When I came back from Hyderabad on March 26
when the lockdown was started, after the phases corona cases have been raised
suddenly due to some reasons like Tablighi, koyambedu market and some other
reasons this was the general topic to so many. But finally in ap corona cases has been increasing rapidly GOVT is unable to handle the situation due to lack of infrastructure and some other political and economic reasons. I have been asked many of the
persons like family friends, relatives and business persons and employees. I was
shocked when I asked one grandma she is one of our distant relative she said
CORONA didn’t affect our lives previous severely affected by severe drought,
where we were suffered a lot when we were lost everything for lower prices
like land, previously we were mortgaged for lower prices now with interest the
capital amount has been doubled.
Currently, wage Laboure’s are getting lower
wages when comparing to MGNEREGA, NABARD-dairy and farming and rural
development. So many millions of people are seriously affected and pushed into
extreme poverty. The choices we made today if we made well-could be the tipping
points that transform our societies and our planet for the better. Governments must take action to protect people where no social protection
exists. Covid-19 threatens to undermine the trust in governments and within
the societies harming social cohesion, promoting social cohesion and investing
in community-led resilience are the pillars of govt response to the pandemic
because social cohesion is a glue that binds the society as together and a
necessary condition to tackle the pandemic situation. Try to create awareness
among the rural communities were working together-addressing the detrimental
effect of social distancing, using sanitizers etc. COVID-19 cases accelerate
across the developing world, it exposes the potentially devastating costs of
job losses and income reversals. Unconditional emergency cash transfers can
mitigate the worst immediate effects of the COVID-19 crisis on poor and
near-poor households that do not currently have access to social assistance or
insurance protection. This paper provides estimates for a Temporary Basic
Income (TBI), a minimum guaranteed income above the poverty line, for
vulnerable people in INDIA.
QUESTION
How to build comprehensive social protection systems
that make the poor and near-poor more resilient to economic downturns in the
future??
Developing countries are less equipped and less
resilient to shocks than advanced economies. Crises in the past have revealed
deep-rooted structural inequalities and injustices that haven’t been decisively
addressed and that could the immediate impacts of the current crisis strike
peoples’ lives and livelihoods especially in rural areas. These pre-existing
conditions of informality, poverty, and vulnerability coexist with relatively
weak social protection systems that tend to benefit mostly formal workers.
Beyond the immediate monetary impacts Like
REPO, REVERSE REPO, BANK RATE etc, the progression of the pandemic has
exacerbated already wide gender inequalities as it has increased the burden of
care on working mothers and more chance to work in underemployment or maybe unemployed.by
providing interest-free loans to the self-help groups, and waive off some
subsidized amount to the groups.
There is a strict implementation on increasing food prices,
govt must have to control the inflation on commodities such as tomatoes, onions
and kirana much more items etc, at the same time govt, also support the minimum
support price to reduce the deflation on such commodities like cotton and other
commodities.
Governance- previously govt has introduced a
initiative as a part of the digital revolution, it has to direct benefit transfer(DBT)
to the beneficiary through (NPCI) national payments corporation of India, bank
account has to be linked with aadhar and kyc must have to be done.
Social protection- recently both central and state
govt has introduced many schemes like the list is so many
Green economy- digital transactions like BHIM, immediate
fund transfer, solar power etc.
Digital disruption- online scams and frauds, more
prone to students etc. must have to reduced.
